We know leaving your little one can be overwhelming. The volunteers in kidustrial park Nursery have chosen to serve with this age group because they love babies and toddlers. Volunteers are trained to care for the needs of your child. We hope the following information will help you and your child have a great weekend experience.
If your family is expecting a little one, we would love to know. Contact Alison Scott with your due date.
Here are a few things you'll need in your diaper bag:
- Labeled Bottles or Toddler Cups
- Labeled Pacifiers
- Change of clothes
To ensure your baby receives the best care, we adhere to a one volunteer per two children in our infant rooms, one volunteer per four children in our early walkers room and one volunteer for every six children in our toddler rooms ages two and up.
Your toddlers participate in many age-appropriate biblical teaching approaches with a focus on music and experiential learning.
We usually serve Goldfish and/or Cheerios. If we are serving something else, a sign will be outside of your child’s classroom informing you of the new food item.
If your children have any allergies or special dietary needs and cannot eat what we have provided, please inform our volunteers and bring appropriate snacks for them. We provide allergy stickers. Please use them if your child may not participate in snacktime!
If your child is potty training, please be sure to communicate that to the volunteers and bring an extra change of clothes. We ask that your child wear a pull-up to the classroom. We provide stickers that announce that you are potty training so volunteers can remind your child to go to the restroom.
When your child starts walking, he will move up to a early walkers room.
When he turns two, we will move him to a toddler room.
Once potty trained, your child will be promoted to the Preschool.
Our volunteers or Director of Nursery will communicate with you before this change is made.
Periodically, we will offer parent classes to all parents. We'll communicate these classes via reminder stickers on diaper bags, bulletins, newsletters, and text notifications. These classes are appropriate for anyone who influences the lives of kids and teenagers. The curriculum is based on Playing For Keeps/Losing Your Marbles by Reggie Joyner and Kristin Ivy.
Baby dedication ceremonies honor parents who have attended the parent class. These ceremonies occur twice per year by RSVP and are fully communicated to those that attend the parenting classes.
