Adoption & Foster Care

Bethany Christian Services

Every child deserves a loving family—that’s where children thrive best—but so many children don’t have this blessing. Bethany Christian Services believes a loving family is a simple, proven, lasting answer to a child’s needs.

Bethany is a global nonprofit organization that brings families together and keeps families together. Strengthening families for the well-being of children is our top priority. Our services include adoption, foster care, and pregnancy counseling. We also provide counseling to families, assist refugees and immigrants resettling in the U.S., and partner with several international countries to help keep families together. The work we do equips families to be the answer for children in need—as Christ intended.

LifeSong for Orphans

While many Christian families have the desire to adopt and resources to care for a child, initial costs keep many from following God’s call to adoption. Lifesong for Orphans helps bridge the financial gap in adoption funding.

Lifesong and The Creek offers grants, which encourage the adopting couple’s church family to financially and prayerfully support the adoption.

Funeral Planning

The Funeral Meal Ministry

The Funeral Meal Ministry is a caring and committed group of volunteers that are called upon during times of grief. For those families who specifically request it, a meal is provided here at the church immediately following the funeral service. This is all accomplished by volunteers. The Funeral Meal Ministry is a great comfort to the families of The Creek who have experienced the loss of a loved one. They also send a powerful statement of care and concern to those attending the funeral.

Generous

All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had . . . For from time to time those who owned lands or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to anyone as he had need" Acts 4:32; 34

The Bible teaches us to respect, take care of, and honor God's money. Doing so creates the financial freedom that allows us to be generous to those around us in need. At The Creek, we strive to be good stewards of what God has given us and want to live out the biblical mandate of caring for our neighbors (1 Tim 6:18). Out of this commitment, the Generous Ministry has been formed to care for those in our community who are experiencing trouble securing the necessities of life- things such as food, shelter, and utilities.

Anyone in need should complete this Request Form. Any supporting documents can be uploaded within this form.  Other options for submitting documents include fax (862-2185), email ( ), or return it to The Creek either by U.S. mail or by dropping it off during office hours. Your request will be kept confidential and someone from the Generous Ministry will contact you to discuss your need.

Please note the Generous Ministry is not equipped to handle emergency requests. It takes at least two weeks to process a request or referral. If you are in immediate need and it cannot wait two weeks we suggest you contact connect2help.org or call 211 to find other resources in the area.

Celebrate Recovery

The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is to fellowship and celebrate God's healing power in our lives through the eight recovery principles found in the Beatitudes and Christ-centered 12 steps. This experience allows us to be changed. We open the door by sharing our experiences, victories and hopes with one another. In addition, we become willing to accept God's grace in solving our life problems. By working through the Christ-centered 12 steps and applying their biblical principles found in the Beatitudes, we begin to grow spiritually. We become free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy, and, most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others. As we progress through the principles and steps, we discover our personal, loving, and forgiving Higher Power – Jesus Christ!
