Global Outreach
Our vision at The Creek is to transform lives one at a time. The Global Outreach ministry seeks to help make that vision a reality by providing ways for those who attend The Creek to serve both locally and globally, and to connect with people from all cities, countries, and backgrounds so that we may share the love of Jesus Christ with them in a very real way. Becoming globally involved- whether by going on a short-term mission trip, supporting the ministry of others, serving in a local soup kitchen, or praying for the overall impact of this ministry- is a life changing way to see the world through Christ’s eyes. Many times, as we seek to transform the life of someone who desperately needs to know and experience the love of God, we are also transformed in profound, awe-inspiring ways. We invite you to join us in seeking out ways to reach the world for Christ and challenge you to experience the impact this ministry can have in your life.
Global Outreach has chosen four aspects of ministry to focus on in order to maximize our effectiveness in reaching the world for Christ.
INFORM- Letting people know how we can help, where we can help, and who we can help is vital if we want to reach the world for Christ. Through a variety of venues, we will seek to inform the church of the opportunities God gives us to get involved.
EQUIP- Developing people into better volunteers and leaders is an important part of creating a strong Global Outreach ministry. Whether you feel called to go on a short term mission trip, or step out of your comfort zone within the Indianapolis area, our goal is to equip you with the skills necessary to make an impact in the area in which you feel led to serve.
GROW- As those at The Creek are called to accept the challenge to become involved in this ministry, we will offer a number of “how to” classes designed to mold people into more effective outreach team members and leaders.
SUPPORT- Crucial to the effectiveness of any outreach ministry is a strong network of support. Critical to the development of that support is the education of those in the local church community. The Global Outreach ministry of The Creek is committed to keeping the church informed of who we are supporting, where they are doing ministry, what they are doing, why this ministry is being done, and how we can help them.
