Have you ever looked in a mirror only to be shocked at what you had become? Many of us have. Not only does it happen to us as individuals, but it happens to us as a Church. Imagine Jesus holding up a giant mirror in front of The Creek. Would He - and all of us - be shocked as to what we have become?
Jesus expects us to be His hands, His feet and voice to a lost and dying world. To “be Christ” to others, we must love our neighbor as ourselves. Looking in a mirror, do we reflect Christ? Is The Creek a come and see Church, or a go and be (like Jesus) Church? If we’re a come and see church, is it too late for us? Can we morph into what Jesus wants of us?
Mirror, mirror, on the wall…
