Our Staff

Dr Gary Johnson
Senior Minister. He is known for his relevant, practical, and insightful biblical preaching/teaching.  Gary has been in leadership at The Creek since 1990, and he enjoys serving with people.  He has an MA from Lincoln Christian Seminary, a Master of Ministry and Master of Divinity degrees from Cincinnati Bible Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Grace Theological Seminary.  An avid supporter of missions, Gary travels to a number of countries to teach ministers in third world nations.  He and his wife, Leah, are the parents of two grown sons, and are proud grandparents.

Vicki Witham
Administrative Assistant. Vicki and her husband, David, started attending The Creek in 1995 and placed membership in 1996 along with their daughter, Lynn Ann. They volunteered in the Red Carpet Ministry which has since evolved into the Guest Services Ministry. Vicki, a stay-at-home mom at the time, also volunteered at The Creek's reception desk answering phones and greeting guests. In 1999 she joined the staff as receptionist and now is an Administrative Assistant to  senior minister. Vicki and David make their home in Shelby County near Boggstown.  At every opportunity, the couple travels Indiana on “one-day-get-a-ways.” Vicki also enjoys crochet and cross stitch and is involved in our Crochet Ministry.

D. Mark Miller
Executive Minister. Mark oversees all leadership & staff development, personnel, policy, and financial systems of Indian Creek.  Mark also serves as an elder and officer of the church.  Mark has been blessed to see God grow Indian Creek from two full-time ministers and 350 in attendance to the thriving community of faith that it is today.  Mark received his Masters of Divinity from Lincoln Christian Seminary, and is currently working on a Doctor of Ministry degree, in the area of spiritual formation/direction, from Denver Seminary.  Mark and his wife Gloria have three daughters.

 
Marcie Luhigo
Director of I2 Ministries. Marcie has a BA from Huntington University, six years in social service management and experience serving in various ministry teams since her college years. God is using Marcie’s professional and personal life to make her a “Jack of all trades” and a master of integration. Marcie coordinates all of The Creek’s I2 (Irresistible Impact) initiatives and serves as a liaison with our local community impact partners. She and her husband, Lameck, started attending the Creek in early 2007 and became members shortly after. They are blessed to be the parents of Stuart and Lilyana. She enjoys many outdoor activities, reading, coffee and primitive/early American antiques.

Sally Feuerbach
Administrative Assistant. Sally is the administrative assistant to the Executive and Global Outreach minister at The Creek. She has been in The Creek family for nine years and has served on staff since January of 2006. She is married to Travis, a financial advisor and avid sport fisherman. The happy couple currently resides in Bloomington, Indiana and they spend as much time on the lake as possible. Sally is the brilliant inventor of Cubical Idol.

Stan Bryan
Executive Director of Operational Ministries. Stan leads the areas of administration, communications, facilities, finance, and information technology. Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, he spent twenty-two years in printing industry management, before entering the ministry in 2001. Stan is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Davidson College in North Carolina with a degree in economics and is currently pursuing a Masters of Pastoral Leadership at Cincinnati Bible Seminary. He and his wife, Laura, have a daughter living in London, England, a son outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, three married adult daughters here in Indianapolis, plus three awesome grandchildren. Stan and Laura have been leading financial ministries since 2001 and lead Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University at The Creek.

Bret Morgason
Facilities Manager. Bret oversees the day to day operations of the church building and grounds while working closely with the ministerial staff to ensure the best possible facility for each ministry. Bret also works with outside contractors to ensure the building is ready for use. While working with contractors and staff, Bret oversees the facilities and servant ministry volunteers, so they are able to share their talents and gifts in order to keep things running smoothly. Bret graduated from Indiana University and came to The Creek staff in 2003, after a long career in the Sanitary Maintenance Industry. Bret lives in Shelbyville with his wife Karen and two teenage daughters Katie and Amanda.

Mary Gruver
Administrative Assistant. Mary is the administrative assistant to the Director of Operations and is apart of the Communications Team. She has been a member at The Creek since 2008. Since joining, she is serving in Worship and Creative Arts. Mary came to The Creek after working full-time in a salon and spa as a licensed hairstylist. She is also a graduate of Johnson University with an Associates of General Studies and Cincinnati Christian University with a Bachelors of Management and Ethics and Biblical Studies. Mary and Collin are looking forward to the arrival of their daughter Taran in September! They also enjoy spending time with their mastiff and boxer and her favorite color is safety vest orange with a camo accent.
Kelli Conrad
Receptionist. Kelli “got candy” Conrad is always a big hit with the kids that come into the office and she is the voice that greets you when you call the Creek. She began working at The Creek in 2010 after 15 years of being a stay-at-home mom. Kelli has been happily married to Jeff for 18 years and they have been members of The Creek family since1996. Their kids, Tyler and Jamie are students at Franklin Central. The Conrad’s can be found watching and playing tennis, enjoying show choir contests and spending time with friends and family.
Pam Wire
Bookkeeper. Pam has been on staff as our part-time bookkeeper since 2002, while also working at JC Penney’s. Thirty-five year ago she married her high school sweetheart, Terry, and together they enjoy hiking, going to the beach, and spending time with family. They absolutely love being grandparents to three beautiful granddaughters. Since joining The Creek in 1985, Pam and Terry have been involved in several areas including Student Ministry and mission trips, as well as an adult small group that has been together for fifteen years. These experiences have produced multiple blessings, which have allowed them to grow spiritually, struggle through different seasons of life, and enjoy life with the "one anothers" in their church family.

Dean Mathis
Executive Director of Community. Dean Mathis comes to us with a wealth of experience of how to build an Acts 2 community inside and outside the church through outreach to the community. Dean has been a Lead Pastor, Outreach minister, Young adults minister, College minister, Youth minister, and a Missionary. Dean is the point man for Amor Ministries National Family Camp that annually goes into Mexico to build homes for the homeless there. Since starting the camp 15 years ago, along with his wife Amy & his two sons, Luke & Joel, they have lead American & Canadian families in building more than 75 homes. Dean received his undergraduate BA degree from Pacific Christian College, (now known as Hope International University), and his Masters and Masters of Divinity from Cincinnati Bible Seminary. But as far as Dean is concerned his greatest achievement in life are not his degrees, but rather the capturing of the heart of his beloved wife Amy, who has given him two of the greatest sons a man could ever have. Their oldest son Luke is a senior at Columbus Christian School and their youngest son is Joel David, who is a 5th grader at Columbus Christian too. Dean's wife Amy is not just the mother of these two, but serves as their school Principal at Columbus Christian School as well.

Charlie Coon
Minister of Pastoral Care. Charlie has been a member of The Creek since 1993, and joined our staff  in 1999.  Charlie was born and raised in Texas.  He earned his B.A. in Business/Finance from Austin College in Sherman, TX.  After moving to the Midwest, he completed three Masters Degrees at Cincinnati Bible Seminary.  He and his wife, Caryn, have one daughter.

Jeffrey Derico
Minister of Adult Discipleship. He comes to The Creek after ten years of ministry at Cincinnati Christian University (CCU) where he fulfilled roles in academic administration and student services.  Jeffrey has earned an MA in Theological Studies at CCU, is pursuing a Master of Ministry at CCU, and is a PhD student at Andrews University.  Jeffrey and his wife, Carrie, have two children.

Chris Garrett
Minister of Marriage and Family Life. Chris has a huge heart for the family. As the Minister of Marriage & Family Life, his primary responsibility is leading various pastoral ministries that target the family. If you spend any time with him, you will quickly discover that his desire is to not only see happy, healthy, holy families but that he also believes in the power of that family to have a tremendous impact on the world in the name of Christ. He holds a B.S. from Mid-Atlantic Christian University in Elizabeth City, NC and is currently pursuing an M.A. from Cincinnati Christian University. Chris and his wife Shelley have two beautiful daughters.

Shara Cutts
Administrative Assistant. Shara started attending The Creek in 2007 and was brought on board in 2010. She is currently working as the Administrative Assistant for Pastoral Care and Community. She proudly serves on the Worship & Creative Arts team here at The Creek. Shara is a Music Performance and Music Education major that graduated from Butler University. She has been married to her husband Eric for 8 years. Shara also teaches Violin Lessons and Performs in different Symphony Orchestras such as; Anderson Symphony and Marion Symphony.
Denise Wildman
Administrative Assistant. Denise joined The Creek staff in 2011 and is currently the administrative assistant for Marriage & Family and Adult Discipleship. Denise and her family have attended The Creek since 2000. She has served in the tech and choir ministries in Worship and Creative Arts and volunteered during VBS. She graduated from Franklin College of Indiana with a degree in Elementary Education and has taught both general elementary and middle school science. Denise married Drew Wildman in 1985, and they currently live in New Palestine with their dog, Dusty and cat, Snickers. They have two young adult children, Ryan and Kristin.

Shan Caldwell
Executive Director of Programming Ministries. Shan’s primary responsibility is to help people get connected in both service and spiritual growth opportunities – creating a church community that is both reaching the lost and growing deeper in faith.  He holds degrees from Cincinnati Bible College and Seminary and is working on his doctorate at Trinity Seminary.  Shan and his wife Lise, have two children.

Tom Harrigan
Worship Minister.  Tom Harrigan, The Creek's Worship Minister, is a recent addition to our Worship & Creative Arts team. He has a passion for leading people into the presence of God through worship. He brings 15 years of ministry experience serving in a variety of settings from church plants to large church environments. Tom is a native New Yorker, has a degree from Kentucky Christian University, is married to Laura, and has 2 children Josh and Megan.

Laura Dingman
Director of Creative Arts.  Laura joined the staff of The Creek in June of 2005 after having taught high school choral music for 9 years.  She has a passion for using the arts to enhance worship experiences.  Laura oversees the drama and vocal music ministry, leads worship and assists in programming design for Sunday morning worship.  She attended Indiana University School of Music and is currently pursuing a Masters in Pastoral Leadership at Cincinnati Christian Seminary.  Laura and her husband, Matt, enjoy spending time with their  daughter Abigail and black lab, Emma.

Dave Stroop
Director of Production and Technology. Dave has been of the staff of the Creek since October, 2007. The previous 18 years he was the Worship Pastor in various churches and is a licensed pastor with the Missionary Church headquartered in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Dave oversees the technology related to worship services – sound, lights, graphics presentation and video and their respective teams. Dave has both his bachelors and masters degrees from Ball State University. He is a published songwriter and wrote/produced many records and commercial music pieces ‘back in the day’. Dave and his wife, Teresa have two grown children, Chris and Holly, and enjoy spoiling their three-year-old and one-year-old grand daughters Kylee and Brooklyn.

Terri Kilgore
Administrative Assistant. Terri (aka TK) is the Administrative Assistant to Programming Ministries. She has been a member of the Creek since 1996 and a part of the staff for over 12 years. Terri has been married to her husband, Charlie, for over 28 years. They have two daughters, Jessica and Caitlin, and one son-in-law, Joe. Jessica and Joe (they actually met here at youth group) have been married since the summer of 2010 and live in Cincinnati. Caitlin will be entering her sophomore year at Purdue University, Boiler Up. The family has two dogs, Hershey and Monroe. Terri enjoys spending time with her family and friends and eating a bowl of ice cream. Terri does not like putt putt.

Seth Bryant
Executive Director of NextGen Ministries.  Seth provides leadership for the Next Generation Team (birth through young adult age). Since joining the staff in 2007, he has implemented a worship service geared specifically for young adults called the dwelling, as well as launched numerous new small groups for this age group. His ministry passions include speaking, creating community, and leadership development. He received a degree from Johnson Bible College and is working on his Masters degree from Cincinnati Bible Seminary. Seth and his wife Kelly have a dog and love their neighbors.

Scott Heller
High School Minister. Scott joined our NextGen team in June 2005. He speaks weekly at “CRAVE” and provides leadership for all High School ministry environments while coordinating programming with other members of the Student Ministry team. Scott’s goal is to allow students to experience the local church at its best so they can embrace Christ’s community as a non-negotiable for the rest of their lives. He also oversees our internship program for high school students and is pursuing a Master of Divinity degree from Cincinnati Bible Seminary. Scott and his wife, Mindy, are both graduates of Johnson Bible College and adore their daughter.

Mike Killebrew
Minister of Middle School Ministry.  Mike has a heart for Middle School students (5th -8th Grade) and makes it a priority that they have fun while developing community with God and other believers.  Mike speaks weekly during Momentum and oversees the Middle School Ministry.  Mike graduated from Lincoln Christian College and has been at The Creek since 2000.  He is currently pursuing a Masters Degree from Cincinnati Bible Seminary.  Mike and his wife Kelley have three children.  

 
Todd Liles
Minister of NextGen Worship.  Todd was born and raised in Plainfield, Indiana.  After graduating high school, he went to Anderson University and graduated with a degree in Christian Ministry. He's been married to his wife Carrie for almost 4 years and they have two sibling dogs named Russ and Audrey.  Todd loves the outdoors and traveling.  His digital life is run by Apple computers.  He could talk about guitars and amps all day long and loves vintage music gear. Todd still buys all his music on CDs and vinyl records.  Christmas and the holidays are by far the best time of the year for Todd. Especially if it's a snowy one!  He has black coffee running through his veins at all times and his body runs on burritos. He has a beard, LIKE JESUS DID (for any beard haters out there), because he wants to be more like Him everyday, all the time, in everything he does.

Eric Denney
Director of Children’s Ministry. Eric works with the elementary aged kids in Kids ROCK as the Director of Children’s Ministry. He graduated from Cincinnati Christian College through the CALL program offered at The Creek. Prior to being here, Eric had an eighteen year career in concrete pipe. With a little help from his wife Marci, Eric has fathered six incredible children; Brock, Blake, Mackenzi, Brayden, Mackayla and Brant.

Joy Hassan
Director of Student Worship & the Creative Arts. Joy serves alongside the student ministry staff in worship and creative arts, programming, and female discipleship.  She grew up in Egypt and moved to the states when she was 6.  She’s lived in California, Missouri, Illinois, and now the great state of Indiana!  After graduating from Lincoln Christian University with a B.A. in Worship Ministry, she joined The Creek’s staff in 2010.  Her greatest desire is to lead students into a deeper relationship with God.

Kristy Collins
Director of Nursery and Preschool.  Kristy has been a staff member of The Creek since 2004. She is an alumnus of Purdue University, where she earned her B.A. in Elementary Education. Kristy left her occupation as an elementary school teacher so that she could teach young kids at The Creek the most important lessons in life. She has a passion for working with children and enjoys providing a fun, nurturing environment where young children can learn about God. Kristy is happily married to her husband, Luke, and enjoys spending time with him and their dog, Beau.

Assistant Director of Nursery. Charla is a Purdue Graduate with a degree in finance and a huge heart for infants and toddlers.  Life’s twisty path and a renewal in spiritual growth showed Charla a path to teach 4D.  Through music, activities, art and undignified behavior Charla helps the little ones entrusted to us in the nursery learn about God’s love and the Bible stories that speak of the miracles of strength, faith and hope that are the foundations of a Christian’s spiritual development.  Charla has a preschool-age daughter, Grace (who is amazing and endures all sorts of teaching testing playtimes).

Administrative Assistant. Ellen is the administrative assistant to Nursery, Preschool and Children’s Ministries. She was born and raised on the south side of Indianapolis and met her husband at Purdue. She has been happily married to Scott for over 15 wonderful years. She adopted twin boys from Russia in 2006 and they are going into the second grade. They have a beautiful although slightly rotten Beagle/Golden Retriever dog named Charlie. They enjoy biking the Monon Trail as a family and the dog leads the way. She has been a member of The Creek since 2005 and started working on staff in 2011. She has loved serving in Kids R.O.C.K. in Kindergarten and Scrapyard. She is looking forward to what God can do with her at The Creek and in Momentum.

Jess McGinnity
Administrative Assistant. Jess supports the Student Ministries team at The Creek. She grew up in South Bend, Indiana and has followed God's leading to Indy's Southside. She first came to The Creek as an attendee of the dwelling, one of the ministiries she now supports. Her role at the church, which began in 2011, assists the middle school, high school, college, and young adult fields. Jess has a longing to help students mature in their faith now so they will become strong, courageous adults.
