Jury duty. The majority of us groan when we receive a summons in the mail to serve on a jury. We will try any excuse or angle to get out of having to report for jury duty. Yet, as citizens of this great country, it is our solemn obligation to serve when summoned and to reach a verdict when serving as a juror.

Every one of us-as citizens of heaven-are being summoned to jury duty right here at The Creek. For six weeks, the Word of God is going to be 'on trial' and we must each reach a verdict in our lives: is the Bible the authoritative Word of God and will I live under it's authority-or not? Like it or not, we are obligated to 'sit on the jury' and reach a verdict on this issue. We cannot be excused from jury duty. A verdict must be reached.
