Access Ministry supports and encourages individuals with special needs to recognize they are known, valued, and loved by God and by us.

In Access, we provide opportunities for the Holy Spirit to move in the lives of individuals with special needs, while partnering with parents and caregivers to be the spiritual leaders in their homes.

Our Goals

We extend Christ's love by:

  • Teaching individuals with special needs about Jesus
  • Providing opportunities for individuals with special needs and families to be fully integrated in the church body
  • Transforming community together with individuals and families impacted by special needs

Access Spring Carnival
The Creek
Saturday, April 27

Adults and children with special needs are invited to join us for a fun-filled day of carnival games, pizza, hand painting, and a Silly Safari Show! Parents and caregivers, we have something special planned for you, too! This respite event is designed to give you time to relax and enjoy yourself. Our Access Ministry volunteers can’t wait to connect and celebrate with you!

Access Buddies


One-to-one buddies may be provided for an individual with special needs who participates in weekend programming in Children’s or Student Ministry. Buddies support the individual with special needs by encouraging participation in Bible activities, assisting with any transitions throughout the programming, and, most importantly, helping create a nurturing environment where the individual feels known, loved, and valued by God and by us.

Buddies may be an adult or a peer, depending on each individual’s needs. Each individual with a Buddy must have a completed information sheet. Contact us if you are interested in a Buddy for your child.

Access Adult Class
Atrium A, Franklin Road
Sundays at 11am
The Access Adult Class is for adults with special needs (ages 16+). The class meets upstairs in Atrium A. Class begins with worship in the balcony of the sanctuary, followed by a small group bible study and fellowship time. The class provides an opportunity for adults with special needs to grow their relationship with Christ, participate in service projects, intercede for one another and transform community as the body of Christ. Participants in the Access Adult Class must have a completed info sheet on file. Contact us for more information.

Access Children's Class
Access Classroom, Kidustrial Park
Sundays at 9am & 11am
The Access Children’s class meets in the Access classroom located in kidustrial park. Class begins with worship in the Elementary large group area with peers, followed by a Bible lesson in the Access classroom. The curriculum is adapted for children with special needs, focusing on visual supports, sensory integrated activities and structured routines. The class provides children with special needs the opportunity to learn that they are known, loved and valued by God and by us. Participants in the Access Children’s class must have a completed info sheet on file. Contact us for more information.

Access Children's Volunteer

As an Access Children’s volunteer, you'll work one-on-one with children with special needs or facilitate small group bible lesson activities in a self-contained classroom.

You win when children with special needs have the opportunity to learn about Jesus in an environment where they feel known, loved, and valued by God and by us.

Access Special Events Volunteer

As an Access Special Events volunteer, you'll serve at the Spring Carnival and respite events.

You win when families with special needs have the opportunity to receive respite care and fellowship while their children are shown the love of Jesus through an evening full of fun.

Access Adult Volunteer

As an Access Adult volunteer, you'll support and encourage adults with special needs in worship, Bible study, and prayer in a small group setting.

You win when adults with special needs have the opportunity to be discipled and engage in fellowship with peers and volunteers in an environment where they feel known, loved, and valued by God and by us.

Access Buddy

As an Access Buddy, you'll facilitate the inclusion of students with special needs in the classroom. You'll minister one-on-one by helping the student learn about Jesus through worship, Bible stories, and activities.
