Be FOR THE 317 by supporting local schools!

Thomas Gregg Neighborhood School (TGNS) - Serve During the Day

The Creek has been connecting volunteers to serving at Thomas Gregg Neighborhood School (TGNS) for many years now. We would love for you to consider joining us as a Classroom Champion, or as a support with special events throughout the year.

Classroom Champion — The to-do list of a teacher is never ending – but that’s where a classroom champion steps in to support teachers in a variety of ways. Volunteers who serve as a Classroom Champion have loved their experience and the opportunity to love students in an entire classroom.

Special Event Volunteer Opportunities — There are many opportunities throughout the year to volunteer at activities/events.

LifeBridge Community - Serve After School

Over the years, many Creek volunteers have connected with serving at LifeBridge Community in Beech Grove.  This after-school program is a fun, safe environment, that is healthy and nurturing, so that each child can discover and use their God-given abilities and talents to live life with a sense of faith, purpose and a desire for positive accomplishment.  Through creative programming and caring relationships, this program empowers children and families physically, academically, emotionally, and spiritually.

LifeBridge meets Monday through Thursday during the school year, and each evening is tailored to a specific age group for children in grades K-12.  Many special events and field trips are also offered throughout the year.

LifeWise Academy - New Organization Connecting to FTCSC

Imagine how different our community would look if we were able to invest the gospel into the hearts of every public-school student.  Imagine students, during school hours, learning about the fundamental message of the Bible – the gospel.  It may sound far-fetched, but through LifeWise, this has become reality in many school systems throughout the county.

LifeWise is currently working to connect this program with Franklin Township Community School Corporation. We want you to be aware of this new program, learn how this may impact your school student(s) and explore various serving opportunities.
