Care at The Creek = Transformation. Our desire is that your journey with Care Ministry will include the following stages of growth: Connection, Healing, Equipping, and Service. We navigate these stages of growth in Holistic, Intentional, Relational, and Flexible ways.

Make a Connection Appointment
Meet with a Discipleship Ministry Staff member face-to-face for prayer, encouragement and resource recommendations.

Make a Care Appointment
Meet with a Care Ministry Staff member face-to-face for prayer, encouragement and resource recommendations.

If you happen to be in the neighborhood, please stop by the church office to schedule a care appointment.

The Porch
If you have a care need arise during one of our weekend services, please visit the Porch at the end of the service to receive prayer, encouragement and resource recommendations.

Immediate Needs
At the Creek we define an immediate need as an emergency hospitalization or death in your family. If a need of this nature arises, call the main church line at 317.862.6430 and follow the prompts to reach a member of the care team.

Financial Help

If you have financial needs, we might be able to help. Get started by filling out a Generous application.

Support and Recovery Ministries help you overcome hurts, habits and hang-ups related to substances, relationships or experiences that cause a barrier to mental, spiritual, physical and emotional health.

Throughout the year, we host GriefShare, DivorceCare, Hannah's Wish (for families dealing with infertility and the loss of an infant), SupportofSurvivors (for victims of sexual and domestic abuse), Stephen Ministry, and Visitation Team.

Want to help others? We have a place for you.

The last phase of growth in our Care Ministry is Service. This is the phase where we take what God has taught us and help others who may be going through similar circumstances. Click any of the teams below for more details and to see if you are interested in serving in any of these ministries. If you are interested in helping facilitate one of our support & recovery groups, such as GriefShare, DivorceCare, or Celebrate Recovery, please contact Laina.

Book Resources

We would encourage you to read these foundational relational resource books to gain a clear understanding of how to care for others in a healthy manner.

Boundaries by John Townsend and Henry Cloud

Safe People by John Townsend and Henry Cloud

Emotionally Healthy Spirituality by Peter Scazzero

Resolving Everyday Conflict by Ken Sande

Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Discussion Groups -We are creating a space to unpack, share, and discuss the book Emotionally Healthy Spirituality together.  In Emotionally Healthy Spirituality, Scazzero says, “It’s impossible to be spiritually mature while remaining emotionally immature.” What are your thoughts on that? Agree or disagree? After you’ve read the book, let’s discuss it together. We want to become the type of people that are willing to look “under the surface” of our character and see how God is redeeming our past, our experiences, and our brokenness for His glory. This resource and these discussions will help us to better understand, begin, and continue our discipleship with Jesus Christ.

Care Volunteer Gatherings - during these gatherings we offer educational pieces on understanding trust, empathy, self awareness, emotional health and other topics related to care. Our next Care Volunteer Gathering is in February of 2019.
